There is no substitute for in-person exchange: our team member Thomas spent a week in Kenya, where he was able to have in-depth discussions with our partners YISOG about ongoing projects, next steps and new ideas.

And there is quite a bit in the pipeline: first up, the playground will be repaired, and the water tower is also in need of repairs to ensure long-term water supply.

Another important step is also on the horizon. Interviews for a social worker position are set to take place within the next few weeks. With this new role, we aim to further strengthen the care and support provided to the children on the ground.

A huge thank you, Thomas, for taking the time for this visit and for representing Ambatana on the ground – and of course to YISOG, in particular Tito Parmuat, for the warm welcome and the invaluable exchange!
