As soon as we got back to Kenya we were attending meetings: After lenghty preparations for the Rescue Centre with our Kenyan partner organisation YISOG, it is now time to make it happen.

That is why our first chairperson Verena Donislreiter is on site together with Linus Mohr and Noah Hoffmann, two journeymen that will accompany and support the construction project with their expertise.

Besides adding final touches to the building plans, the building materials have to be selected: Our main focus is on environmentally friendly construction. In times of climate change we wish to make the implementation of the building project as eco-friendly and resource-efficient as possible. That is why in mutual talks with YISOG and other building companies we chose to use a regional natural stone as the building material. We visited the quarry together, which is only 50 kilometres away, to test the quality of the stone.

With a view of Mount Kilimanjaro we are now discussing the final details before beginning construction. We are almost ready to start!
